Bauhaus GraphicDesign : Past, Present, and Future The Bauhaus school revolutionised graphicdesign by pioneering bold, minimalist styles emphasising function over ornamentation. From 1919 to 1933, the Bauhaus united finearts and crafts to create practical yet beautiful designs for the machine age.
Of course the former is the one we are interested in as amongst its many undergraduate offerings, including Photography, Illustration, Painting, is GraphicDesign. Their School of Design, one of five schools that make up the College of FineArts, was founded the same year as the university.
Also, Otis offers both a Communication Arts undergraduate degree with a major in GraphicDesign and a Master of FineArts in GraphicDesign. Students are also given classes in design history and education to help with their future careers. Duration: 4 years.
