Among the harshest realities of being a freelance web designer (and a human) is that we’re bound to make mistakes. None of us can escape that fact. Therefore, we may as well accept it. Still, there are major differences in the severity of the mistakes we make. A small misspelling isn’t quite the same as bringing down an entire website with a buggy piece of code.

I recently discovered that a popular WordPress plugin had enabled automatic updates without explicitly informing users. How did I find out? I received emails from each site where the plugin was installed informing me that an update had been completed. But it gets better. The monograph – named after a 2003 artwork – looks back on the early days of the studio, which was launched around the same time that the Apple Macintosh and software such as Adobe Illustrator were beginning to be widely used. Phunk began life in 1994 as a streetwear label selling T-shirts covered with digitally illustrated imagery, but soon also made a name for themselves via their Guerrilla Fonts foundry.

Since 1987, the artist has been drawing chalk-and-charcoal creatures in site-specific works that wash away with the rain. Spanish brand consultancy Summa has designed Sevilla FC’s new identity and crest, with visuals inspired by the city’s gothic architecture. The work, which was in development for eight months, also includes an updated strategy as the team looks to amplify its international reputation, according to Summa. Sevilla FC was founded in 1890 and is based in Seville itself, the largest city in the Andalusia region of southern Spain.
