Dealing with concerned clients can be a challenge for numerous reasons. I liken it to running around with a fire extinguisher, desperately trying to put out blazes large and small. But it’s not just the panicky ones who need the occasional dousing. And it’s not necessarily their fault. The web can be a scary place – even for seasoned designers. Trying to wrap our heads around privacy issues, security , accessibility and new technologies can make anyone’s head spin.

The identity for Football Beyond Borders (FBB), a UK charity that educates young people through sport, has been updated by design studio Alphabet. While the logo remains the same, the graphic and visual system — including typography, colour palette and set of icons — have been updated. The charity was established in 2012, following the London riots, as a way to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through organised football games.

"AGON" in Russian, as Moscow-based Korotich explains, "means 'fire', and also briefly calls something 'really cool'".

At the turn of the 21st century, MP3 audio was just hitting the mainstream. Certainly, the portability of these sound files was a big part of their allure. But there was also the unique side benefit of being able to visualize the sound on our computer screens. At first glance, Greenpeace’s new ad seems like a spare clip from Creature Comforts. Depicting a normal day in the life of a family of turtles, and featuring wonderfully chirpy voices from the likes of Olivia Colman, it perfectly captures the everyday charm of the long-running animated TV series. However, in this instance, the happy scenes quickly turn harrowing, as the ad depicts what should be a normal migration journey for the turtles going terribly wrong.
