Hand-drawn fonts are a crucial tool for creating an informal design style with a human touch, but as with all handmade art styles, you can’t beat the authenticity of artwork that has actually been created by hand. Brush scripts provide a quick and easy way to add hand-painted lettering to your designs, but traditional fonts can look a little fake.

I’m finally sharing our new master bedroom and bathroom! This was actually completed last October but I’ll be honest, it took me this long to finally post because this renovation really did me over (and under!). I nearly burned down the house because I couldn’t handle working with my dad anymore. I had to let him go (aka fire) and hire someone else to finish the shower because his presence really impacted my well being towards the end.

Inspired by classic cocktails, Finery is an Auckland brand of refreshing vodka sodas with a twist. Fine, organic ingredients served as a base for drinks, featuring blends of teas and botanicals. The visual identity for Finery by a local graphic design practice On Fire aimed to capture this sense of freshness and cleanliness. Branding focuses on pastel, soft colors matched with oversized typography.

Norwich-based 3D illustrator and animator AJ Jeffries released a new animation that feels particularly relevant to modern life. Simply described as a story about “a horse, struggling to exist,” the short film chronicles the evolution of a pink animal as it morphs from a blob into a fully realized mare. Its body bends and contorts—at one point, its neck even shoots up to the sky, killing a purple bird—before it gets some encouragement from nearby plants and happily dances away.
