This extraordinary drawing by John Cuneo has already been selected for inclusion in both of the upcoming annual collections of illustration art: The Society of Illustrators' Annual of American Illustration and the American Illustration Annual. So why bother reproducing it here? Because the drawing is immense but the annuals will reproduce it at a size that makes the figures look like an ant colony and you'll miss the entire point.

Here's a short follow up to my even shorter post last month. Below you can see the completed single page illustration of Mr Otter sat in a muddy puddle after failing in his first tree house building attempt. "All under control - nothing to see here." The next illustration I have been working on (and expect to be still working on it for weeks ahead) is the cross section of Paisley's magnificent tree house.

It's time to make plans. I'm excited to be taking part in the Flying Monk Art Trail , this year in Malmesbury, Sat 24th and Sun 25th September. I will be exhibiting with Claire Baker Ceramic Art and the painter Mary Ray Smith , in the Burgess's Room, next to the Tourist Information Centre in Malmesbury town centre. Like all the other exhibitors during the trail, we are open 10am - 5.30pm.

So, last month my best friend got married to the love of her life, Andrew. It was a gorgeous day and I worked my very hardest to be an A+ Maid of Honour! There were wildflowers, fairy lights, a tasty homemade wedding cake and a lot of brilliant dancing. Sticking with the home-made theme, I wanted to give Hannah and Andrew a really special extra wedding gift; so as a surprise, I illustrated this portrait of them!
