Now for the second instalment of 'showing you how I created the book cover artwork for Paisley Rabbit And The Treehouse Contest.' You can see the first part of this post here. I left you poised to start laying in the basic colours for Paisley Rabbit and the flycatcher birds. Below you can see that stage completed. I tend to take these photos at the end of a day's painting, not stage-by-stage, so in this shot you can also see I have started to define the creeping ivy.

Soon after I worked on the Healthy Hedonist cover ( see my last post) I was again approached by Kyle Books to illustrate another front cover. This time it was for a book about pancakes written by Sudi Pigott , and illustrations would also be needed for chapter openers. These would appear at the beginning of each chapter to introduce breakfast & brunch, snacks and nibbles, main meals, teatime and desserts recipes of each section.

Today I'm wearing Sideline.in fact all week I'm wearing Sideline. I'm such a lucky bunny (must be my feet!) because I have been gifted the whole collection! Oh but that does make it rather difficult for a bun to decide what to wear in the morning. There's so much to choose from! Today I think my favourite is the pink Cam duster coat; that colour is so on trend.

Last summer I had the pleasure of working on a book cover for Kyle Books. The book was titled 'The Healthy Hedonist' and had the strap line of 'cocktail shake your way to 5 a day.take a refreshing approach to cocktail making using delicious combinations and superfoods.' The author Nicole Herft is a food stylist and chef, and has worked behind the scenes with many a celebrity chef including Tom Kerridge, Gordon Ramsay, Atul Kochar, John Whaite and The Hairy Bikers amongst others.

Is it ok to be a little bit in love with a pair of sneakers? Not only are my new Josefinas super stylish but they must also be the comfiest shoes I own, in fact my paws are literally sighing with relief! (I'm looking at you Louboutin!) They are just the perfect shade of peachy pink leather which I'm sure you already know is my favourite colour and the fur (it's fake in case you were wondering) well that just adds to the fun.
