As Hurricane Helene approached Florida, it grew from a tropical storm to a Category 4 hurricane. What does that mean? Amudalat Ajasa, Aaron Steckelberg, and Julie Hoban, reporting for The Washington Post, illustrate the hurricane categories with an animated model that starts peacefully and then suffers through each level. We created these gorgeous New Year cards for our friends at Posh Parties. Our Kiran design inspired the layout. The papaya letterpress is the perfect compliment to the photo and gives a nod to Florida, where posh parties is based. We topped a flood of papaya digital ink with a foil-stamped heart design in pearl shine, creating a tonal effect.
