All have had to overcome adversity to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams in sectors ranging from fashion and fine art to food and beverage and social impact. So it's unsurprising that they have a stronger work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit than the local population.

Founded over 150 years ago back in 1870, Philadelphia’s University of the Arts is divided into two schools: The College of Media, Art and Design and The College of Performing Arts. Their School of Design, one of five schools that make up the College of Fine Arts, was founded the same year as the university.
