But in lieu of portfolio reviews, DAAP sanctimoniously required an exam score of twenty-six on the American College Test , known as the ACT. In a rush of fear and anxiety, I submitted my college application and portfolio to SCAD, a school I stumbled upon in a brochure in the mail, and one that didn’t require a specific test score.
